Hello all students, staff and faculty,

The Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) invites you all to a series of round table meetings on environmental issues.
The next meeting will be about the Ayalon cave:

מרגש: ניצחון אדיר לחוקרי וחוקרות האוניברסיטה ושותפיהם במאבק להצלת מערת איילון!

We will host a short lecture (by zoom) by Prof. Amos Frumkin, Institute of Earth Sciences, HUJI, Dr. Efrat Gavish-Regev, from The National Natural History Collections, and two doctoral students, Boaz Langford and Shlomi Aharon, all were active in the struggle to save the cave from development.

We shall meet in the Faculty Club, on Wednesday, November 24:

14:00               Mingling and refreshments (bring your own mug).
14:15               Lecture by Prof. Amos Frumkin
14:30-15:15     Discussion

המכון למדעי הסביבה (IES) מזמין את כולכם/ן לסדרת מפגשים בנושאים סביבתיים, ״שולחן עגול סביבה״. המפגש הבא יהיה בנושא מערת איילון:

מרגש: ניצחון אדיר לחוקרי וחוקרות האוניברסיטה ושותפיהם במאבק להצלת מערת איילון!

יהיו אתנו: פרופ׳ עמוס פרומקין, המכון למדעי כדור הארץ באוניברסיטה העברית, ד"ר אפרת גביש-רגב מאוספי הטבע הלאומיים באוניברסיטה העברית, ושני דוקטורנטים, בועז לנגפורד ושלמי אהרון, כולם לקחו חלק מרכזי במאבק להצלת המערה. נתחיל בהרצאה קצרה של פרופ׳ פרומקין (בזום), ואחרי זה נקיים דיון על המערה ועל המאבק להצלתה.

המפגש יתקיים במועדון הסגל, ביום רביעי, ה-24 בנובמבר:
14:00 מפגש וכיבוד (נא להביא כוס מהבית).
14:15 הרצאה של פרופ׳ עמוס פרומקין
14:30-15:15 דיון
