The Bohbot lab is recruiting a master student to study terpenoid-sensing in the tiger mosquito Aedes albopictus.
Mosquitos do not only feed on blood, they also need nectar to fuel their locomotor activities.
We study the molecular mechanisms of smell or how mosquitoes use odorant receptors to identify key plant terpenoids to find suitable nectar sources

A three-day symposium will be held, with podium presentations delivered mainly by keynote and invited speakers who are leading experts in relevant fields, with additional selected voluntary presentations. These will be accompanied by poster sessions with special encouragement given to presentations by graduate students.
